Hello friends!  Our team has long been thinking that we are in need of a mini re-brand, and I am so excited to share the end results with you today!  We hired a local graphic designer to help our vision come to life.  During our initial consult, the designer and I went over possible "themes" for our new logos.  I knew I wanted something that looked modern, was not too girly, and reflected the core aesthetic/feel of the team.  I was initially leaning towards an extremely clean, geometric design.  In fact, most of the initial designs we received were geometric in style.  They were beautiful, but the one we landed on really spoke to us!  It is modern yet retro, and we loved it!  With a few small tweaks, we had our finalized logo.

What do you think???

I KNOW your grandma had or has wallpaper in her house, right!?  I bet you didn't think it would ever come back into style, did you?  Well, surprise!  I am seeing wallpaper all over Pinterest, in home design magazines, and in pretty houses that I tour around San Diego!  I think there's definitely a "right way" to use wallpaper. Here are a few of the best tips I've found for how to use wallpaper to spruce up your space:

Choose the Right Color:

Color sets the mood of a room!  To make your space feel bigger, choose cool colors, like blue, green, and violet.  If the room has a ton of sunlight already, a bold, warm color such as yellow, red, or orange can look great.  The more intense the color, the more vibrant and exciting the room will

We all know San Diego is a craft beer mecca.  The city has over 100 craft breweries, with new ones opening all the time.  What does it take to stand out amongst the crowd?  First, the beer must be stellar.  San Diego beer lovers aren't receptive to non flavorful, run-of-the-mill (see what I did there?) beer.  The tasting room should be imaginative, inspiring and welcoming.  Finally, the overall experience should leave fans wanting more so guests will come back again and again.  Here are 3 brewery standouts that I love.

Alesmith is one of the oldest breweries in San Diego.  It was started in 1995, so has had many years to gain momentum and followers.  Last year was a huge year for Alesmith, as it opened its brand new monstrous

If you follow me on social media, you know that I totally geeked out a couple of weeks ago over the GORGEOUS stylings of local interior designer Vanessa Matsalla, owner of Studio Matsalla.  I was laying in bed one Saturday, and fell down the rabbit hole of Instagram.  Somehow I stumbled upon Vanessa's page, and instantly fell in love.  Her designs really speak to me; they're beach-y, modern, clean, vibrant and inviting.

I personally haven't been a big fan of the more modern designs in the past.  I feel like they sometimes feel impersonal and cold, yet Studio Matsalla's take on modern furnishings are completely the opposite.  They somehow draw you in, and their simplicity is refreshing and beautiful.  The materials used and designs chosen

I am so excited to write a post today about one of my favorite local UTC businesses--The Boxing Club.  Located on Level 2 of the Costa Verde shopping center, The Boxing Club brings a new take on the typical fitness gym.

I've only been a member of The Boxing Club (TBC) for a little over a year, but I've learned so much already! I thought everyone there would be very intense, almost angry, taking out their frustrations on bags and on each other.  I couldn't have been more wrong.  While it's true that boxing provides fantastic stress relief, members of the club, staff, and coaches are so warm, welcoming, and friendly.  Massive shoutout to Coach Caine for making every newbie feel comfortable and not embarrassed for asking questions and taking breaks

I want to fill you in on a little-known secret to dining out--the Passport Unlimited card!  This card is good at 127 restaurants in Southern California, and the vast majority of them offer 2 for 1 entrees when you use the card.  All you have to do is show it to your waitress, she scans it, and voila!  Most restaurants actually take up to two cards per group, so if you're dining in a group of 4 and have 2 cards, you'll get two free entrees.

The passport card is good at restaurants such as The Prado, Draft Republic, Sammy's, Agave Del Mar, Amarin, Kensington Cafe, Melting Pot, Stella UTC, Villa Capri, and many more.  James and I use our card almost weekly--we definitely get our money's worth!

I give Passport Cards out as closing gifts to my
